Ecology and Domestication Methods of Tilapia Oreochromis variabilis

This book is a result of concerted research efforts to come up with a meaningful solution in the recovery of the diminishing food resources of the once vibrant fishery of the indigenous fish species of Lake Victoria (Oreochromis variabilis). Both the ecology and aquaculture potential of the candidate species are hereby extensively examined. The results give a promising future towards the domestication of the fish species and its conservation. This work is beneficial to both scholars and many communities who may be interested in farming this tilapia species, a renowned delicacy of the people from Lake Victoria region.
